Jekyll Island has become a wonderful facet in our family vacation arsenal. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway filled with rich history, unique beaches and gorgeous landscape, then look no further than the southernmost tip of Georgia. Be sure to visit the rest of the neighboring Golden Isles as well. St. Simons offers great restaurants, shops and beaches to explore for the day.
Driftwood beach is a 10/10 magnificent sight from beginning to end. This wooded seashore is perfect for walking and relaxing, and is one of Jekyll’s most unique and gorgeous features.
Let’s be real, there is nothing like a nice sunset at the beach. Areas around The Wharf, St. Simons Lighthouse and The Historic District provide an excellent view past golden hour.
